The man behind the legend: Archie comes home again

The world celebrates Archie Griffin ’76 for his Heisman glory, but as Buckeyes, we know football is only one part of what makes him great. To illustrate: “It’s a team thing,” he says in this 6-minute video as he shares much of his life story.

It’s the story of the man behind the legend—the only player to ever win two Heismans. In the 50th year since his first, Ohio State celebrated Griffin by unveiling the Rose Bowl-inspired statue, naming a street after him and inviting him for a rare honor—dotting the i with the marching band in Ohio Stadium.
