Unique orthoplastics surgery saves coach’s leg

After surviving a nearly fatal car crash, Tom Ryan, head coach of Ohio State’s wrestling team, was in danger of losing his lower left leg. Through a unique orthopedic and plastic surgery collaboration at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, surgeons Angela Collins and David Nash were able to save his leg using an innovative orthoplastics procedure.
