Experience the thrill of the (bargain) hunt

Buckeye Bargains thrift store has a new home and the same great finds.

Buckeye Bargains is back! Housed in a new location at 53 W. 11th Ave. and open to the public, this campus thrift store is packed with new and gently used goodies that you can buy for a song. Plus, all proceeds go toward scholarships for Ohio State students — to the tune of $22,000 last year. Volunteers from the University Women’s Club run the shop, which opened in 1966. “Everything is priced very reasonably,” says Cathy Ballenger, chair of the Buckeye Bargains board. “I once helped a student who got a new Cuisinart toaster for $4. He was thrilled.” Check out some of our recent finds!
